RBTL makes every effort to accommodate special seating requests. In order for us to serve you best, patrons with requests for special needs tickets to any Broadway show are asked to contact the Box Office at (585) 222-5000 x0.

Hearing Assistance

FM Hearing Assistance Systems are available for patron use at each performance at no cost. To obtain a headset from the House Manager, please provide collateral in the form of a credit card or driver's license, which will be returned in exchange for the headset following the performance.

Audio Description

With this service provided by ABVI and RBTL, at each Sunday matinee subscription performance* of the Broadway Season, visually-impaired Broadway patrons can listen through a headset as the performance is depicted to them by a trained describer. Headsets must be reserved in advance by phone at (585) 222-5000, by email at info@rbtl.org or in person at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office.

Sign Interpretation

The RBTL offers sign interpretation at each Thursday evening subscription performance* of the Broadway Season. For individual events, sign interpretation is offered if a request is made at least one week in advance of the performance and at the discretion of the presenters. Seating in view of the interpreter can be reserved by phone at (585) 222-5000, by email at info@rbtl.org or in person at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office.

Open Captioning

Each Sunday matinee subscription performance* of the Broadway Season, patrons with hearing loss will be able to read a text display, a simultaneous translation of dialogue and lyrics, as well as a description of any sound effects on stage. Partial support for open captioning is provided by the Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT). Seating in view of the Captioning screen can be reserved by phone at (585) 222-5000, by email at info@rbtl.org or in person at the Auditorium Theatre Box Office.

*A subscription performance is a performance of a given show that Season Ticketholders/Subscribers attend.  For a typical 1-week run, the subscription performance for Audio Description and Open Captioning is the first and only Sunday matinee of the run, and Sign Interpretation is offered on the first and only Thursday of the run.  For multiple-week engagements, the subscription performances may vary.  Please check with the Box Office prior to the opening of the show to confirm the subscription performance date at (585) 222-5000.

Handicap Access

The Auditorium Theatre is equipped for both wheelchair and transfer seating for disabled patrons. Accessible seating may be reserved at the Box Office or by calling 585.222.5000. Please note that there is no elevator access to the Balcony level seating, therefore all accessible seating is located on the Orchestra level.

Child Booster Seats

Booster seats for children are available for patron use at every Auditorium Theatre performance. Please ask an usher on the night of the performance.

Coat Check

In winter months there is a coat check available in the second floor lobby of the Theatre for a $1 donation.

BAR/CONCESSIONS

Bar/Concession areas are located on several levels of the Auditorium Theatre. Concessions are open* during most Auditorium Theatre events, offering alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage selections and a variety of candy and other snacks for purchase. 
*Individual shows reserve the right to limit Bar/Concession offerings.

If you think you may have left an item at the Auditorium Theatre, please call our Box Office at (585) 222-5000 x 0 during business hours (M-F 10am-5pm) and we will do our best to locate that item.  When calling, please have the night you attended an event and your seating location available.
