Joseph A. Floreano Entertainment and Education Center

The Space:
The Rochester Broadway Theatre League was proud to announce the naming of the “Joseph A. Floreano Entertainment & Education Center” at the Auditorium Theatre. The decision came after a unanimous vote from the RBTL Executive Committee and the Board of Directors for Mr. Floreano’s many years of support and dedication to the organization. The “Joe Floreano Entertainment & Education Room”, formerly the “Rochester Room” is located on the main level of the Auditorium Theatre and holds a capacity of approx. 150 people. The room will be utilized for RBTL arts education programming, fundraisers, private events, rehearsal space and more and can be set up for varied uses. RBTL is grateful for Joe’s friendship and involvement, and dedicates this room in sincere appreciation for his many contributions and help in providing arts education opportunities for local students.

About Joe:

Joe Floreano joined the RBTL Board of Directors in 1999 and had been an active member for 15 years. He devoted countless hours of service, generously supporting Auditorium Theatre shows, fundraising events and most importantly, arts education programs. Joe was the CFE Executive Director of the Rochester Riverside Convention Center, where he served for over 30 years. Considered a leader in his field, he was awarded the 2014 IAVM Legacy Award which recognizes significant contributions of an individual or company leaving a legacy for the advancement of the venue management industry.

The Renovation:
 The “Joe Floreano Entertainment & Education Room” undertook a renovation and made its debut at the start of the 2014-2015 Season.
